2025-2026 Circuit Structure

New Features for 2025-2026

  • Boys Jr. 3SSB will now utilize a hybrid schedule consisting of regional play and open qualifiers.
    • A team must now earn their way into nationals by either earning a bid through one of these avenues.
    • Programs are allowed to participate in both.
    • Qualifying for boys nationals can be done in a variety of ways
      • By completing regional play at the top end of the standings (see regional series below)
      • Winning an open qualifier (see open qualifier below)
      • Accumulating AT LEAST 300 total points throughout the 2025-2026 season (see point system below)
  • In addition to our 5 existing regions, Jr. 3SSB will now be adding the PNW/Mountain Region.

  • GIRLS will now be offering 12u-14u Divisions
    • Both Boys and Girls will be offering Gold and Silver divisions in each age group.
  • BOYS Jr. 3SSB will now be implementing a new point system to determine seeding for events, and who will earn a bid to nationals.
    • Majority of bids to jr. 3SSB nationals will be determined by our new point system.
    • In addition, this will help us improve seeding super regionals, open qualifiers and nationals.
  • GIRLS Jr. 3SSB must participate in only one Open Qualifier in order to qualify for nationals.
    • We will use the same point system as the boys in order to improve seeding for nationals
  • Nationals Dates

    • The top teams based on points will advance to the super regional, where the best from your region will compete against the best from another region.
  • Super regionals will be a tournament style event where automatic bids to nationals will be awarded to the top finishers (number of automatic bids vary based on the age group + level of play).
  • Regional point system
    • Regional Qualifier Win : +100
    • Super regional Win : +150

  • Each team must play in ONLY 1 REGION throughout regional series play (ex. You cannot play your first regional qualifier in the west region, then play your 2nd regional qualifier in mountain region.)

Open Qualifiers

  • GIRLS : Participation in an Open Qualifier will earn your team an automatic bid into nationals. Your results will be taken into account when seeding is done for nationals.
  • Open Qualifier point system
    • Win : +50
      • The champion from each division will receive an additional +25 points.

Point system importance

  • BOYS : Only 48 total automatic bids to Jr. 3SSB nationals will be given out to teams throughout all age groups. This means that majority of jr. 3SSB nationals bids will be at-large bids.
    • At-large bids will be given to the remaining teams who have accumulated the most points throughout the year.
    • Teams who earn an automatic bid from regional play or open qualifiers are still encouraged to play in more events to improve their seeding for nationals.
  • GIRLS : Accumulating more wins in the Open Qualifiers will help you improve your seeding at Nationals
