June 2026

adidas 3SSB returned to Ghirada La Città Dello Sport in Treviso, Italy from June 5-7 for the 19th edition of adidas Eurocamp, where 3SSB Select finished 2-1 against elite international competition while continuing to showcase some of the top young talent across the platform.
Led by veteran NBA coaches Rex Kalamian (Milwaukee Bucks) and Ross McMains (Boston Celtics), with longtime NBA assistant coach and player development specialist Bill Bayno assisting throughout training camp in Milan, the group spent the week competing against top prospects from around the globe while gaining valuable international experience on and off the court.

The roster featured a blend of proven 3SSB standouts and emerging talent, including several underclassmen who gained valuable experience competing against older international prospects. The experience should prove particularly valuable for 2029 standouts RJ Evans and Mason Grivna (both just 15 years old), who continue to establish themselves among the brightest young talents within the 3SSB pipeline.
3SSB Select opened play against Eurocamp 1 and battled throughout the first half, taking a lead into the break before ultimately falling 81-66. While the result was not the one the group hoped for, the experience provided an early test against a roster loaded with professional players as much as 5-7 years older than 3SSB Select’s personnel.

The team responded impressively in its second game, defeating Next Gen 89-83 behind a balanced offensive effort and improved execution on both ends of the floor. The victory showcased the group’s resilience and ability to make adjustments while competing against another talented collection of top international prospects.
One of the game’s most memorable individual matchups featured Javon Bardwell (25 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal on 11-19 FG, 3-7 3FG) squaring off against eventual camp MVP and projected top-five NBA draft prospect Stefan Joksimovic (15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 6-11 FG). Bardwell more than held his own throughout the contest, continuing what would become one of the strongest individual performances of the week.

3SSB closed the event with its most complete performance, defeating Team World 93-76. The group played with confidence from the opening tip and controlled the action throughout much of the contest, finishing the week by scoring 89 and 93 points in its final two games.
Beyond the results, the week served as another important step in the development of many of the platform’s brightest young prospects. The opportunity to compete against top-tier international talent while experiencing professional-level training and competition remains one of the defining aspects of the Eurocamp experience and an important part of 3SSB’s commitment to player development.

Full-Circle Moment for VJ Edgecombe
One of the week’s most impactful moments came away from the game action, as former 3SSB and Eurocamp standout VJ Edgecombe (Philadelphia 76ers) returned to Treviso as a special guest.
Barely three years removed from earning adidas Eurocamp MVP honors while representing 3SSB Select in 2023, Edgecombe returned as an NBA player and 2026 NBA All-Rookie First Team selection. Throughout the event, he spent time with players, shared insights from his personal experience and offered a firsthand example of what can happen when talent, work ethic and opportunity align.
For many of the prospects in attendance, Edgecombe helped bridge the gap between aspiration and reality. His return served as a reminder that success at adidas Eurocamp can be a meaningful step along the path to the highest levels of the game, while further reinforcing the impact of the adidas 3SSB platform on player development.

Awards & Recognition
Two 3SSB Select players earned recognition for their performances throughout the week. Josiah Rose was named the camp’s Rising Star after a stock-boosting week in Italy. He continued his recent ascent with one of the most productive all-around performances of the event. The versatile guard averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game while consistently making plays for himself and others. His blend of scoring, toughness and two-way playmaking was on display throughout the week. With the honor, he joins former 3SSB standouts Mikel Brown Jr., Caleb Holt and Bruce Branch III among the award’s recent recipients.
Javon Bardwell was named to the adidas Eurocamp All-Camp Team after emerging as one of the event’s top performers. Bardwell averaged 18.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while showcasing his athleticism, scoring ability, physicality, and competitiveness against some of the world’s top talent.

Additional 3SSB Players in Attendance
In addition to the players representing 3SSB Select, three other current 3SSB standouts participated throughout the week on other Eurocamp rosters:
● Justin Akengbowa (NBL Next Stars) – measured with a +7” WS and played a complementary role on the championship squad
● Lucai Anderson (Team World) – finished top-10 in scoring in Treviso at 12.7 PPG
● Gene Roebuck III (Team World) – made his presence felt on both ends with 13.0 PPG and 2.0 SPG
While the 2-1 finish was certainly encouraging, the week represented much more than wins and losses. Between multiple individual award-winners, the presence of 3SSB talent across multiple Eurocamp rosters and valuable international experience gained by a young group of prospects, the event served as another reminder that adidas 3SSB can compete with anyone in the world. More importantly, it provided a strong foundation for the next wave of 3SSB talent to build upon as the platform continues to grow both domestically and internationally. With former Eurocamp MVP VJ Edgecombe returning to Treviso as an NBA player just three years after his own appearance as a camper, this year’s group was given a powerful reminder of where the journey can lead.
